New Drawings
In some of these recent drawings, I reached into my archive of black and white photos from the 1970s and 80s to use as source material. Within the drawing I've melded new sometimes uncanny elements into past situations. They witness what is out in the world at the same time as they delve into the interior mind; its memories, myths, and dreams. For me, the act of drawing, the record of the movements of the hand and the skipping of the pen across a textured page, adds a living vibration to memory.
